MrBeast is good with thumbnails, video editing and ideas, but his growth really exploded once he learned this one simple principle..

Do MrBeast thumbnails get 100M?
Weāve seen many MrBeast breakdowns, talking about how much of a genius he is, and why there are hundreds of things he has learned over a long time of his YouTube career..
But thereās also something very non-genius and simple about his growth and insane views with every video, and you donāt have to be a big creator to apply this principle.
But first, letās take a step back
What goes into getting more views?
Letās break this down into a few elements

Marketing (Thumbnail/Title) š
Video Execution (Editing/Scriptwriting/Storytelling/Idea etc) š¬

The Idea š§
The Idea is the backbone of everything else, this is because If your video is something like gameplay with some commentary, that will severely limit what you can do in the video itself, as well as the thumbnail and title.
For example, how interesting do these 2 ideas sound?

Which one would be more interesting to a person who has never seen you before?
First of all, not only are you going to struggle to find interesting marketing angles for the 2nd Idea, but the ceiling for the maximum amount of views you can get is really low.
Unless youāre going to use clickbait..
Now, for reference, letās start building a MrBeast video by each element, So far weāve got the idea:

In the actual video, MrBeast gives a lot more than the initial title and thumbnail suggests, thatās because the original idea is not enough for a full video.
Youāll maybe be interested in a minute or 2, after which the viewers get bored of the same concept, the retention suffers a lot, and so is the viewer satisfaction.
So in short, give more than the viewers expect.

Now that we got the Idea, Marketing becomes a lot easier.
MrBeast simply wrote āHydraulic Press Vs Lamborghiniā, and I am sure he probably had more than 100 possible titles here as well.
But you see how much easier it is to come up with an interesting title compared to ājust playing Valorantā?
Thumbnails and titles are what you use to represent the idea to the viewer and hook them into the video.
So far we end up with:
Video Idea x Marketing (0-100%) = Views
But thatās not quite the full picture yet..
Video Execution š¬
So how does the Video Execution play into this formula?
The better the video is compared to the same or similar videos that the viewer would otherwise get recommended, the more often your video will get recommended instead.
(Meaning that if your thumbnail is good, and your video is good, your thumb will just be shown to even more people, so even more impressions)
There is no single right AVR for this to happen because this compares not against ALL videos on YouTube, but between videos that the algorithm picks for a particular viewer.
Trying to make AVR as high as possible is a good thing to think about, but aiming for a very high AVR may move you into a completely different niche and audience if youāre not careful, which is fine if thatās what you want to do.
But donāt forget to look at the behaviour of the graph itself, where the down-trends are, spikes and dips.

So we got the Idea, Marketing and Video Execution ready, and our final, formula looks something like this:
Video Idea x Marketing (0-100%) x Video Execution (1-100%) = Views
But wait a second, thereās something missing here..
If you, yes you, the reader just took this video, with the exact same thumbnail and title, and uploaded it to your channel..
Would you get 139 Million Views?
The answer is no, and thatās because thereās one missing element that no one really talks about.
The Audience šØāšØāš¦
When other people look at MrBeastās videos or do breakdowns, we often get different aspects of the 3 aforementioned elements, and they all contribute to his success, but the latter and final piece is always missing..
And that piece is the Audience.
His branding, trust and recognition is what you could never steal from him, and thatās why the same video on your channel will not perform the same.
Now you might be thinking āI already knew thatā or āDuh, itās MrBeast videosā
But thatās exactly why he gets his views, itās because heās the MrBeast
So how do you become the MrBeast?
